SWORN AMONGST, SVÖLK Added To ANNIHILATOR's European Tour

September 17, 2010

U.K. thrashers SWORN AMONGST and Norway's SVÖLK have been confirmed as the support acts for ANNIHILATOR on the Canadian metallers' upcoming "Total Annihilation 2010 European Tour".

Commented ANNIHILATOR guitarist Jeff Waters: "[It's] very cool to bring out [SWORN AMONGST], a younger thrash band that knows how thrash is done and can deliver this kind of metal to the fans. Heavy stuff that brings me back to early SLAYER, EXODUS, TESTAMENT, KREATOR and some originality, thrown in for good measure! Killer riffing and powerful vocals.

"SVÖLK caught my eye (and ears) after a friend of mine suggested I check out this band that 'sounds a bit like a cross between DANZIG, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE mixed with some kick-ass hard rock and heavy metal.' I gave them a listen and liked it. Perfect package for the ANNIHILATOR tour now with hard rock, heavy metal, thrash metal and metal all being represented one bill!

"It's gonna be a kick-ass tour!"
